CML SPBGU Company tested ships model

CML SPBGU Company tested ships model. Three sets of tests were carried out:

  • Tests of the of underwater part model of the vessel at the speeds of 10 m/s and 15 m/s. In this test the model was on a 15 cm holder connected to the force sensor.
  • The surface part of model tested at the speeds of 10 m/s and 15 m/s. In this case the model settled directly on force sensor and it didn't torched turntable surface.
  • 15 cm holder separate tests to estimate its influence on the results of the first set of test with the model. The air speed in this test was of 15 m/s.
  • After these tests for three types of vessels, calculations were received for the following data:

  • side sail area;
  • cross sectional sail area;
  • the center of the sail area;
  • longitudinal force of wind influence;
  • cross sectional wind force;
  • aerodynamic moment.

The data obtained in the calculations used in the design and debug Load Control System software.

This model allows prediction of local and integrated characteristics of a sheeted system under various conditions of impact on it, and to find the optimal operating conditions of the fields.
